This painting is inspired by my trip to California and my love for the succulents. The fluffy brown tipped leaves of Kalanchoe tomentosa remind me so much of the bunny ears, it seemed completely natural to hide some of the furry creatures in their midst. But the fox is not there to hunt them, but rather for a friendly game of hide-and-seek. It is a metaphor for contrasting human relationships, the balance between opposites. The rain symbolizes emotional connection.
